Hello and thank you for visiting my website, here is a little more information about me.
I am an amateur artist who would like to paint more but must balance my interest in art with the demands of a professional vocation. My main interest to date has largely revolved around attempting to capture the ambience, mood and character of the physical place and on occasions its inhabitants. I have travelled widely and continue to do so frequently visiting southern Africa on account of family links. My current interest in art stems from moving to Glasgow in Scotland just over ten years ago and deciding to pursue evening classes at the Glasgow School of Art and elsewhere over the course of approximately five years.
Although I enjoy using a variety of different media, I have to admit to currently painting mainly with pastels, in part because my palette does not dry out! and in part because of the wonderful textures and the subtle overlays of colour that can be obtained using a variety of different types of pastel with varying levels of pigment. It is is also in part due to the encouragement and enthusiasm of my current art tutor Margaret Evans ( www.shinafoot.co.uk ).
I am able to supply gicelee reproductions of any of the works featured on this site using the services of AGKC in Glasgow ( www.agkc.co.uk ), please make contact via the email link under 'Content' to obtain further details.
